By Our Staff Reporter

Periyasamy, a 64 year old watchman was found dead on June 24 morning at an apartment complex, on Sivan Koil Street, in Vadapalani.

He used to stay in a room inside the complex round the clock.

The residents noticed the body with severe injuries.

While police are in the course of interrogating auto drivers, pavement dwellers and locals in the vicinity, yet another death has been reported.

A beggar who was sleeping on a platform near Vadapalani’s Kamala Theatre was found dead on Thursday.

His head had been smashed.

Local police say they have observed that a few things seem to be common to the two deaths  – the nature of  injuries.

A stone recovered from the scene resembles one spotted near the other incident too, the police say.

Interrogation is on and the dead bodies have been taken for post mortem.
