100 young violinists on stage, courtesy Carva

Students from CARVA (C.A. Rajasekhar Violin Academy, West Mambalam), belonging to different age groups (from 4 years onwards) presented a grand violin performance on September 4 at Mahodhaya Hall, Stree Seva Mandir, 4th Avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai.

The students were divided into 3 groups depending on their level of mastery of the music.

The first group played Geetham and notes.

The second and third groups played Krithis like Katrinile Varum Geetham, Thelisi Rama, Nagumomu, Thirupugazh etc.

The chief guest  vidwan Ayanampati S. Ganesan after presenting medals and certificates to the students  appreciated the performance of the students.

Violin meastro Sri M. Chandrasekaran said he was thrilled to be part of such good performances that too by young children starting from the age of 4 years.

All the students (around 100 in number) then together performed a grand finale esemble and enthralled the audience with slokas and bhajans.

The programme concluded with Sai Mangalam.
