Turn to a man whose name is R. Subramanian

And who runs Orbit Aquarium. Having a word with him makes sense because he has some professional academic expertise as background.

R. Subramanian attended the M.Sc.  (Ornamental Fish Breeding) course and says he has 15 years of experience in business and consulting in this line.

Recently, he set up Orbit.

The  showroom  displays  and sells  a variety of fish  such as  Angel, Goldfish, Tetras, Balloon Molly, Koi Carps and Red Zeebras to name a few.

Orbit also stocks glass tanks of various sizes and littke things that make the fish tank a wonderful visual

“I would say these are things needed to aquascape the tank, ” says Subramanian.

So why has this man launched this business that is often noticed as nooks in neighbourhoods and run by a single person?

Subramanian says he wants to promote fish rearing as a passionate hobby among people and to share his knowledge of aquatic life.

He says that a person who is serious about having an aquarium should know about the feeding habits of fish, their needs and of aquatic life including vegetation.

“Also, this is a hobby that is very relaxing, ” he adds. “It is a hobby which engages the young and the old and when they turn to it in the midst of their mechanical day to day life, this hobby can refresh them.”

Other facilities that will soon be offered at Orbit is setting up an aquarium for offices and homes and and consulting as far as maintenance of it is required.

Five tips on how to manage an aquarium at home

a. Weekly once, 25% of water should be changed

b. Remove excess food after ten minutes of dropping it in.

c. Use good fish tank filter system for maintaining quality of water and the health of fish.

d. Feeding should be done two times daily
