Cancer awareness camp for public, paramedics

Vasantha Memorial Trust based in Ashok Nagar has been actively creating awareness about cancer among people all over the country through its tailor- made programs for each group.

Its team of trained volunteers who equal medical personnel in terms of knowledge related cancer has educated people at camps and meets.

In an attempt to train more people to educate the masses, Vasantha Shiksha – an orientation to cancer for laymen & paramedics has been organized in Ashok Nagar.

It will be held on 5th Aug 12 at Hotel Gokulam Park, Ashok Pillar, Chennai from 9 am to 4 pm.

During the one day course basic aspects of cancer, risk factors, clinical presentation of common cancers that are seen in India, treatment modalities will be dealt with by authorities in the field.

This year there is a special hour long group discussion on practical aspects of cancer wherein each delegate will get a chance to interact with a specialist in the field.
