Residents protest encroachments on key link road in Saligramam
Residents in the Saligramam zone around the busy Arunachalam Road say that they are appalled by the blatant encroachments on L V Prasad Road.
They say that vans and other vehicles, mostly hired and used by film shooting crews are parked all along this road.
Since the road serves a key link for these residents with the man in 100 Ft Road and there is steady stream of traffic all through the day and night, such encroachments must not be allowed and that Vadapalani Police must take action.
Residents say that a new storm water drain was laid on one side and the road was relaid later and this facilitated free flow of traffic.
But the lorries and vans which use this as a parking lot have put motorists to hardship, said residents.
