Kalasam of temple stolen
A bronze kalasam was found missing from the shrine of Lord Aiyappa at Sumuga Vinayagar Temple in Valasarawakkam’s Kaikankuppam on Oct 5.
The theft was noticed by the priest Murugan when he opened the temple.
Burglars had targeted the temple in Dec 2008 and made away with cash and valuables worth Rs 4 lakhs.
This is the second robbery here. Local police are investigating the case.
