Flute maestro Ramani performs in Saligramam
Mahathi Academy of Music and Dance conducted their Monthly Concert on the 27th December 2009 at shirdi Sai Baba Prayer Hall,Balaji Nagar, Saligramam.
The Programme began at 5.30pm with the students performance for an hour and was followed by the Flute recital by the maestro Dr. N Ramani.He was accompanied on the violin by Dr Manjunath and on the Mridangam by Thiruvarur Bakthavathsalam.
Dr Ramani started with the brisk Nattakurinji varnam. A neat mohanam was presented with the Krithi Evaroora, The Main item was a superb Karaharapriya with the Krithi Chakkani Raja of Thyagaraja. Ramani concluded with few Thukkadas and Thillana in the Raga Danasri.An excellent support was given by Dr Manjunath and Bakthavathsalam.The concert was attended by a good gathering of rasikas.
The programme was organised by Thiruvaiyaru P Sekar and Vasanthi sekar ,Directors of Mahathi Academy Of Music and Dance.
