Pavithra’s dance arangetram gets a packed hall
The Bharathanatyam arangetram of Pavithra G. Ramesh was held at Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan in Mylapore on February 5 to a packed hall of audience.
Pavithra is a resident of Sai Nagar, Virugambakkam. She trained under Jayakamala Pandian (daughter and disciple of Swamimalai S K Rajarathnam Pillai), and is presently under the guidance of Veena Ramakrishnan, founder, Shree Nrithyam, Vadapalani.
Presently an engineering student at SRM University, Pavithra was the School Pupil Leader of her batch in PSBB School, K K Nagar.
She was awarded the best outgoing girl student and represented her school in an international conference, Young Leaders, at the Beauchamp College, Birmingham, London.
Also, she has passed Trinity College’s keyboard exam and is part of an English Theatre group.
She was a finalist in the Jaya TV”s Thaka Dhimi Tha programme, and a recipient of Bharath Kalachar scholarship for five years. Pavithra is a talented singer too.
Priyadarshini Govind and Radhika Shurajit were guests at the event. Pushpa Kandaswamy, film producer and singer Mahathi, attended the arangetram and were full of praise for Pavithra’s talent. (seen in the 2nd photo above)
