Paterson Cancer Center is 7; has outreach camp
Paterson Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer care center based in Vadapalani. Under the auspices of Cancer Alleviation Foundation (a charitable Trust), it provides free treatment for the needy patients, belonging to the lower economic strata of the society.
The center also conducts cancer awareness programmes for the school children and the public, Free cancer detection camps for the public are held periodically.
In connection with the seventh anniversary celebrations of Paterson Cancer Center, a free cancer awareness/ detection program for the general public was held on the 30th of May 2010.
The program started with the public interaction with a panel of oncology specialists, who answered their queries and advised them regarding cancer prevention, management and the importance of early detection of cancer.
The free cancer detection camp was inaugurated by P.Sakthivelu IPS., Joint Commissioner of Police,Chennai-South.
R.Elango , Managing Trustee , Trust for village self Governance (Kuthambakkam) presided and Dr. S. Vijayaraghavan , Managing Director, Paterson Cancer Center delivered the vote of thanks.
