Woes of residents of Jafferkhanpet

Despite repeated representations from the senior citizens of Jafferkhanpet, the Police Officials and the Civic Officials have not taken any concrete steps to remove the encroachment on the pedestrian platforms in the 15th Avenue of Ashok Nagar and  also other roads  from the Ashok Pillar.
On the contrary, it  can be noticed that the the persons encroched the pedestrian platforms are behaving as if they are authorised by the government to run the show.
Of course the officials of  Chennai Corporation and State Highways also frequently inspect the roads but  behave as silent spectators.
On the other side, the Commissioner of Police , Chennai city  has isued statements that they will  attend to the complaints from the public immediately. How can the Commissioner of Police expect complaints from the public when their staff are deputed to perform their duties and they  deliberately ignore to report about the encroachments. .
