Some staff at Ashok Nagar post dept. face probe in scam

State police say that they have arrested some staff of the Post Department in connection with the pension scam that has come to light recently in which Post Department staff are said to be involved.

The Ashok Nagar post office had also come under the scanner of the investigators.

The scam was a simple and quiet affair. The state provides small pensions to the poor and elderly. Postmen deliver this via MOs.

Some staff are said to have manipulated the documents and pocketed the monies. This was done over a period of time.

The loot runs into lakhs of rupees. Investigation is on.
