Padma Sarangapani Cultural Academy hosts music fest in Virugambakkam

One more music fest opened in the neighbourhood on Sunday.

Hosted by Padma Sarangapani Cultural Academy at its Virugambakkam campus, it followed the music fest that it had hosted in December at its Villiwakkam campus.

On Sunday evening, titles were awarded to artistes Neyveli Santhanagopalan and Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam by the chief guest, former Chief Election Commissioner T. S. Krishnamurthy.

This was followed by a kutcheri featuring both the awardees.

Concerts will be held at the school campus in Virugambakkam till January 8 evening. The concerts are open to all and start at 6.30 p.m.

This Academy, a sister organization of the Padma Sarangapani schools has been promoting the arts and arts events for some years now. The windows it has opened for such events in the suburbs have been appreciated. Making use of its educational campuses for these purposes has made the academy promoters’ task a tad easy.
