Food fest at Green Park Hotel, Vadapalani

You have only this Sunday to enjoy the Street Food Festival at Green Park Hotel in Vadapalani. It began on Friday.

Set up by the open air poolside on the first floor and open from 7 pm onwards, this fest provides a selection of authentic Indian fare – prepared in front of you.

Green Park’s Chef Thangappan is always making new menus and this one sets the tone for summer evenings.

A wide range of delicacies on offer include tangy chaats, popular fare such as dosa, idly, appam, idiyappam, tawa parathas with variety accompaniment meats and curries. The added attractions of the festival is its at-site-counters, a real treat for the foodies, because you get to see the Chef in action, dishing out hot favorites on popular demand.

The biriyani, a specialty dish of Green Park, is made out of tender and juicy chunks of meat, fine aromatic basmati and a rich flavor out of authentic spices and yoghurt.

The dessert spread includes selections from jamun-e-gul, jalebi, flavored kulfi and selection of mouth-watering ice cream sticks

The open-air restaurant, replete with the gentle poolside breeze, the live cricket action  and the aroma of crackling tandoor fire; is the perfect place to chill out under the stars with a candle lit gourmet experience. A splash of humor is provided by Magic Sharma.

Add to it the in house artist ready with colorful face paints, tattoos, cartoon caricatures and nail arts; complimented by a paanwala whipping up sweet beedas are some of the highlights of the evening.
