Meet artist Trotsky Marudu at ‘keni’ meet on Mar.13

If you indulge in Thamizh literature, art, film or music and would like to listen to the men and women who create it, then mark March 13, Sunday on your calendar.

The monthly ‘keni’ meet in K K Nagar features an interesting set of persons.

Next Sunday, at 4 p.m.artist and art director Trotsky Marudu wilL be the guest speaker ( the keni meets are held every second Sunday of the month.)

So what happens at this meet which is officially called Keni Illakkiya Sandhippu ?

The meet is held around a well in the courtyard of writer-journalist and theatreperson Gnani Sankaran’s house on Alagiriswamy Salai in K K Nagar.

The guest holds forth for about an hour in Thamizh.

Thereafter an interactive session follows.

This is an idea that Gnani and his friend Bhaskar Sakthi floated after the former was fascinated with the space around a well in the house he rented.

Close to 17 meets have been held and writers like Ki Rajanarayanan and Jeymohan have been guest speakers here.

The audience has also doubled.
