- The children who attend Sree Murugan Play School in K K Nagar had their Vidhyarambam conducted by Neelakanta Iyer. All the parents of the wards who study here attended the function. For details regarding admissions, contact 23661985,9840230507

At Sri Iyyappa Temple, K K Nagar, the vidyarambham ceremonies were arranged in a standardised manner and orderly too for all parents who wished to get their young children initiated on this auspicious occasion.

- Sai’s Nest Preschool had a Navaratri Fest at its premises in Saligramam on three days in October. A colouring contest was thrown open to the KG kids while the primary children had some handwriting and reading contests. Parents of the wards were also glad to have a break amidst the ‘sundal’ season.

A Vidyarambham session was also held on this auspicious occasion ( see photo)

Sai’s Nest invites children to come forward for the Spin a Tale story sessions held on Saturdays between 9:30 am and 10:30am., says Raji R. S.

- Students of Srivarnisa Kalalaya performed group Bharatanatyam dance recitals at Sri Kasiviswanathar Temple, West Mambalam during Navarathri celebrations. Later, for Vijayadasami the students got together to attend the rituals at dance class in K K Nagar. Contact phone – 98405 72985

- Annaporni Ramasubramanian who resides at K.K.Nagar conducts sloka classes. During this Navarathri season her students recited slokas at various temples in and around K.K Nagar. Those who are serious in learning slokas, etc can call 7299978885

- Sheela Unnikrishnan, Bharatanatyam guru runs a school for dance in Vadapalani and she held Vijayadasami celebrations recently at her premises. The office is at D-2, The Majestic City, 21, L.V.Prasad Road, Vadapalani. Phone – 23621126
