Dash of colour at Sivan Park in K K Nagar

Artists have been contracted by Chennai Corporation to paint a section of a divider walls of Sivan Park in K K Nagar with ‘Nature’ motifs and themes.

They were seen at work at the rear end last week.

But the main walls, also painted colourfully long ago are peeling off and beg for a fresh coat of paint.

Every evening, this park is packed with kids, women and women – the kids enjoy playing here and attending the skating classes while men and women walk around to keep fit.

Some regulars, watching the artists felt that if the kids who use the park were also asked to colour the walls, a community participatory approach would make this a fun project.

Perhaps, park users should contact the Commissioner and suggest this bright idea.
