Grand Sri Ramanavami event in Virugambakkam temple

The Sri Ramanavami celebrations held at the Siva Vishnu Temple in Natesan Nagar, Virugambkkam were both deep in religiousity and rituals and colourful in celebration.

In the morning,  special thirumanjanam and sahasrarama archana was rendered to the deity of Kalyana Ramar in front of a huge gathering.

In the evening, the deities of Rama, Sita , Lakshmana and Hanuman were grandly decorated with new costumes and flowers and the deities were taken in a procession along the streets of Natesan Nagar to give the residents the chance to have a darshan.

The temple authorities and the team at Sri Guru Padhuka Samajam, together to celebrate  Thiru Kalayana Mahotsavam to the deities of Siva and Parvathi on April 6.

This is fifth year in succession the these celebrations have been held here. There was a huge gathering for the performance of

Kalyana Mahotsavam. The wedding rituals including kasiyathirai and oonjal caught the eyes of those present here. Devotees were served with annadhanam after the religious event.
